Kylie Wild, a 12th-grader at Salpointe Catholic High in Arizona, won the Division 2 girls senior/invitational race at the 42nd ASICS Mt. Carmel Cross Country Invitational at Balboa Park's Morley Field. Wild, who won for the second time in her career in San Diego, covered the 3-mile layout in 17:50.2 for the fastest female performance of the meet, as Salpointe Catholic was edged by Chula Vista Hilltop by a 34-35 margin.
